Get your GFP Boston Gay Pride on!

Dancers,

PRIDE season is upon us.

Grab your rainbow cowboy hats, your sparkliest boots, and maybe a feather boa. Dirty Water Saloon and Gays for Patsy will be marching (dancing, really) in the Boston Pride Parade, and you KNOW you want to join us. This is shaping up to be the biggest Pride in Boston Pride history, so don’t miss out.

Gays for Patsy started in 1988 as a whimsically named contingent in Boston’s Gay Pride parade. Since then we’ve been queering country dance through social dances, hoedowns, workshops, performances, and more. Be a part of this important tradition.

Mark your calendars!
This year’s parade is Saturday, June 10 and begins in Copley Square. We are gathering at 12:20 at 755 Boylston Street.

Learn two step, tango, and waltz!

Here at Gays for Patsy, we’ve come up with a bunch of fun opportunities for you to learn country western dance styles in April.

As soon as Tuesday, you can learn a two-step move, the mechanics of country waltzing, west coast swing, tango, and more from professional dance instructors. Come to our weekly (Dirty Water Saloon), monthly (Queer Country Social), or our yearly (Spring Stomp!) and you’ll be dancing and having fun before you know it.

No experience or partner required, just a willingness to have fun.

We offer a safe welcoming environment to LGBTAQ+S* folk to learn country western dancing and have fun while doing it.

*LGBTQA+S = Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transexual, Questioning, Asexual and Straight (or just queer). We don’t care who you are, just come with a willingness to have fun and not worry about gender roles.

Line Dancing!

If you love line dancing, we’ll be teaching Counting Stars and Burlesque and a bunch more (still gathering our line up). Check out our list of  line dances to see what we’ve taught in the past few years and of course we’re always willing to learn or play your requests.
